The authors do have the right to appeal if they have a genuine cause to believe that the editorial board has wrongly rejected the paper. If the authors wish to appeal the decision, they should email the editorial office editor01@stmpub.com explaining in detail the reason for the appeal. The appeals will be acknowledged by the editorial office and will be investigated in an unbiased manner. The processing of appeals will be done within 6- 8 weeks. While under appeal, the said manuscript should not be submitted to other journals. The final decision rests with the Editor in Chief of the journal. Second appeals are not considered.
Definition:
Our definition of a complaint is as follows:
a. The complainant defines his or her expression of unhappiness as a complaint.
b. We infer that the complainant is not simply disagreeing with a decision we have made or something we have published (which happens every day) but thinks that there has been a failure of process–for example, an unacceptably long delay or a rude response–or a severe misjudgment.
c. The complaint must be about something that is within the responsibility of STM Publishing editorial office editor01@stmpub.com – i.e., content or process.
